The Tollefsen Trolls

The first book of Anita Penn's "The Tollefsen Trolls" series starts with Goodnight Troll. Goodnight Troll is a children's bedtime story. It includes characters from Norwegian folklore and history, such as Trolls, the Kraken, Vikings and more! A family of Norwegian trolls who live in Trollheimen ('The home of the trolls') are settling down for a long night's sleep. Momma Troll must read them a story and the young trolls must say their goodnights to all the creatures and people in Trollheimen before they drift off into slumber.

There were many different variations trying to perfect the look of these trolls. These were beautiful, but not quite the Norwegian trolls we were looking for. I definitely want to use them in another series though! Aren't they adorable?

Here is another set of trolls! We almost went with these, but I just needed to see one more to be sure.

We had one more set, but I am saving those for another book in the series. Last but not least our final draft. Here are the Tollefsen Trolls. On the far left we have Ingrid, she is 9 years old, she is a sassy but smart troll. Ingrid is new at being a big sister but she loves it all the same. She loves to draw, paint and is very crafty. Then we have baby troll, little Rebekah. Rebekah is a sweet little 1 year old baby. She is so sweet and smart, but gets into everything. She loves her big sister, music, and Mom and Dad very much. Then we have Momma troll, Greta. Momma troll loves her family so much. She always makes sure they are fed, the house is clean, and tucks her children into bed at night with a goodnight story! She also loves to write and to sing! Then we have Father troll, Knut. Knut takes care of his family and provides for them. He shows his love and appreciation for them through his music. He can build anything! The best woodcarver in Trollheimen. I can not wait to share more about this little family.
